Announcing Council's World Famous Porcupine Race

That is a big horse

Dick Parker was a loving Husband and Father and a Minister of the Gospel. He was a Soldier, a Cowboy and a Logger. He was an Auctioneer and a Rodeo Announcer. He served as “Lay-Pastor” of the Council Community Church for many years. In May 2004 he was selected as Council's Brightest Star by the Council Chamber of Commerce for all the many years of helping with community events. He was always there with his sound system to announce, auctioneer, officiate or MC.

I came back to Council to spend some time with my Dad. I could see that he seemed to aging a little quicker than I thought he should. Within a year after I returned, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and within 18 months after diagnosis he was gone. I will miss him while I tread this Earth. We all look forward to seeing him again.
